Notice of Destruction of Special Education Records

Kingman Academy of Learning will destroy personally identifiable information contained in special education records for students whose special education services ended prior to June 2019. These records may include referrals, evaluations, testing data, placement records, IEPs, and other related special education records.

In accordance with state and federal regulations, these records have been maintained for at least seven (7) years after special education services ended and are no longer needed for educational purposes.

Before records are destroyed, parents or eligible students (students age 18 or older) have the right to inspect and review the records and obtain copies of any information needed.

To request copies of records, please contact Kingman Academy of Learning at 928-681-2400 prior to July 9, 2026.

Records will be destroyed on July 15, 2026.
